Tray No 13 - Spessartite Garnet (Tanzanian new find)
Here's a tray of smaller Spessartite Garnets from the new find this year in Tanzania. The color on these stones is fantastic, a bright pure fanta orange with no brown. These stones have been carefully selected from the best material available. While most are not totally clean, we have graded them as AA+. I would expect that many will cut AAA however. The inclusions are typically very small bubbles, that will be hidden by the sparkle of the stones. These smaller stones would be excellent for cutting matched pairs for an earring set.
